Čopova street redevelopment | Ljubljana | 2012 | completed |
Čopova Street is one of the city’s key axis ever since the medieval times and the first pedestrian zone in Ljubljana. By transforming the paving of Čopova Street, we intervene into an already formed urban space, which to many a citizen or visitor represents one of Ljubljana’s most characteristic ambiences. The last thorough renovation, with which the street gained its present image, was carried out during the second half of the 1970s, when the street was also transformed into a pedestrian zone. The new redevelopment intervenes into the formed image above all in the sense of durability of chosen materials and technical solutions, of a more urban image and user and environmentally friendly urban furniture.
